Google Maps is the platform used to add the location

There are various options provided to identify the location (as shown below)

To populate the 'Road Name' field (above the map) follow these steps:-

Start to type the road name for the location of works within the 'search bar'

Options will display below the 'search bar'

Click on the most relevant location address

Click 'Submit Road Name'

The 'Road Name' field will be populated with your choice

Note: The applicant is only able to input one (1) state-controlled road name so the road name chosen must be the most relevant for the location of works

Note: If you do know the 'Road Number' please populate the 'Road Number' field.

If this is NOT known it will not prevent you from submitting your application as this is not a mandatory (*) field

Drop down to choose from the following options:-
 
  • Standard Map View (default)
  • Satellite Map View
             OR
  • Terrain (include or exclude by ticking box)


Zoom
Function

Using the '+' and '-' signs you can zoom in and out of the map (bottom right)

 

Drawing Tool Functions

The drawing tools options (top left) are:

Pan – Capability to reposition the map
  • Clicking on the 'Pan' icon
  • Then click on the map
  • Moving the cursor around to re-position the map as required


Marker – Capability to draw a point or marker on the map

Line / Polyline – Capability to draw a line on the map

Shape / Polygon – Capability to draw a shape on the map

 



Clear Map Function
You can clear any drawings made to the map by clicking on the 'Clear Map' function

 

Using Marker (Point) Icon On The Map

To use the marker / point on the map

  • Click on the marker icon  
  • Then click on the point on the map where you would like the marker to show
  • A marker will then be shown on the map 

Note: The marker can be moved by clicking on the marker and dragging it to another location

 

Using Line / Polyline Icon On The Map

To draw a line on the map
Click on the line icon  

  • Then click the starting point of the line on the map
  • Then move your cursor to the next point of the line and click to draw the line to that point
  • You can continue moving along and clicking at points to continue drawing the line
  • To mark the end-point double-click and the line drawing will stop


Note: To move any part of the line right-click on the circles and drag them to the correct location

Using Shape / Polygon Icon On The Map

To draw a shape on the map,

  • Click on the shape icon  
  • Then clicking the starting point of the shape on the map
  • Then move your cursor to the next point of the shape and click to draw the shape to that point
  • Continue moving along and clicking at points to continue drawing the shape
  • To mark the end-point double-click and the shape drawing will stop
 


Note: To move any part of the line right-click on the circles and drag them to the correct location


 
  
  

Once the location has been drawn save the activity, structure or works by clicking on 'Save'

You will be returned to the Application page and your activity, structure or works is now listed

Note: Additional activities, structures or works can be added into the one application as required
